Live in Concrete is a DIY web video series dedicated to capturing studio sessions of exciting new bands from the vibrant Montréal, Québec music scene. The latest installment of the series features an explosive performance of an original track by Black Givre titled “I couldn’t make anything for her. She’s so fine and delicate.” recorded live by Atobop at Studio Concrete. This new digital single is the mixed audio version of the video track.

About Black Givre:
Black Givre is the winner of the 2014 GAMIQ best experimental album Autorail. His new work is described as an instinctual motive power provided by self-propelled multiple units that creates a hypnotic, explosive cardiac stimulation, a thunder in control. Halfway between FourTet's electronic influences and the insane experimentation from Boredoms, he offers improvisation in bursts of energy freak-outs between performance and interpretation. He manipulates sound effects through an open structure, with his machinery and drum.

Samuel Bobony is a musician who composes improvised pieces in real time, combining drums, textured samples and synths. With his solo project, Black Givre, he won Best Experimental album of the year, for Autorail (co-produced by Beaver Club & Jeunesse Cosmique), at GAMIQ. He is actively involved in Montreal's music scene as a member of Avec le Soleil Sortant de sa Bouche (Constellation Records), Héliodrome (Endemik Music) and collaborates on some of Jeunesse Cosmique label's projects. In 2014, he released Explosion Therapie (Small Scale Music), Split Black Givre & Charles Barabé (La Cohu) and was part of MTL Tapes compilation (La Cohu). Ruptur, his most recent sound creation, created in collaboration with Nelly-Ève Rajotte, was presented at Centre Clark as an audio post. He has toured across Canada with artist-dancer Sonya Stefan (lo-fi projections) and completed a North American tour last summer with Jean-Sébastien Truchy and Charles Barabé.
